Unlike Site Finished Hardwood, Solid & Engineered Hardwood is more limited on the options but you see what you're getting right away. What product you choose, will be what's put on your floor. It is more convenient, as it is easier to install and it saves time. Once installed, you can walk on it right away. The downside for this option is that you can't be as creative with the installation such as having borders or unique flooring options (herringbone, basket weaves, etc). Bevels are seen on pre-finished flooring unlike Site Finished Hardwood but some think it adds to the flooring aesthetic.
